When the Buddha was on the side of the Thunder Pool in Champa, one of the disciples of the Buddha whose name is Two Billion Ears, was practicing the twelve dharma exercises alone, as well as the 37 ways, all day and all night, so that he walked barefoot on the road, bleeding continuously, The place was just like a place where the cow had just been killed, and the crows eat his blood on the ground.
Even so, Two Billion Ears did not realize the liberation to be fully wise. So, Two Billion Ears thought that before I became a monk, my family was very rich. It would be better for me to quit Buddhism exercises and go home give treasures to everyone.
The Buddha knew about the thoughts of Two Billion Ears and came to him. The Buddha asked Two Billion Ears, "Have you ever played the stringed instrument when you were at home?"
Two billion ears said "Yes,I did."
The Buddha said, "If you play quickly, how do you feel about the sound?"
Two Billion Ears said, "Not good."
The Buddha said, "If you play slowly, how do you feel about the sound?"
Two billion ears said, "Not good."
The Buddha said, "If you play it not too fast nor too slow, how do you feel about the sound?"
Two Billion Ears said, "That sound is wonderful."
The Buddha said that Buddhism practice is the same. Extremely practicing people are like banter; while slack people fall into evil opinions. If you can be in the middle, it is the best practice, and soon you will realize it.
After speaking, The Buddha returned to the side of the Thunder Pool.
Two Billion Ears followed the teachings and become an Arahant.

Being Positive
Being Positive is a great attitude to have. People enjoy being around positive people. Positive people do things. They take chances, they try their best, they don’t give up and they make the most of every situation. They enjoy most of what they do and help others have a good time as well.
Certainly at times we need to look at the bad or the dangerous side of things and take them into consideration when making our decisions, but don’t get carried away with all the bad things. Enjoy the situations you are in and try to look at them positively, even when they are difficult.
If nothing else a tough situation will help you learn about how well you cope with hard times, and you might be able to plan better for next time.

How we can control our mental state:
Suppose you are at your desk and you become aware that you are in a mental state that you would like to change. Get up out of the chair. Walk away about four feet and then look at how you looked in that chair. Notice your posture, your breathing, your facial expressions. Then imagine how you would look if you had the sort of mental state you would like. When you can see that clearly, sit down in the chair again and assume the position that you just imagined. That exercise works for almost any situation as it involves several important principles-changing your body posture, seeing yourself from a more objective viewpoint, and imagining a more resourceful state.
French composer Claude Debussy said, “Music is the space between the notes.” As a minimalist, I love this quote: it reminds us that beauty needs a certain amount of emptiness to be appreciated. The space between notes allows them to resonate, reverberate, and reach their full measure of expression. The emotions between people are the same, and you need to leave room for each other to feel.
