If you made a mistake, apologize
If you are thankful, say it
If you are confused, ask questions
If you learn something, teach it
If you are stuck, ask for help
If you are wrong, admit it
If you can unselfishly give, give
If you love someone, tell them, now.---From Unknown

You should be the master of your heart, and don’t let your heart be your master . That is to say you should control your emotions and feelings rather than controlled by your emotions and feelings.

There are three kinds of receiving: being happy, suffering, and neither suffering nor feeling happy.  If a person can concentrate on his mind, see clearly in receiving, and understand the causes of receiving, he can know the method of eliminating receiving, and use it to eliminate the receiving.  And if a person has no receiving, he will no longer have desires, and he can enter Nirvana.  -"One of the Receiving Sutra"

It never does good to hate anyone.

You should understand that the feeling of pleasure is actually painful, and the feeling of pain is as painful as being hit by an arrow, and those feelings that are neither pleasure nor pain are impermanent. If a person can have the above insights, it is the correct view, which means that the person has broken off craving, has surpassed the bondage brought by craving, and has surpassed the boundary of pain, because this person has been able to abandon himself correctly.

If a person has a box full of silk and silk, and what he wears is just plain clothes, if he has a box full of gold and silver treasures, and what he eats is only better than the chaff, if one can relax, he must Tired and suffering, if a person is sad all day when he can be happy, the reason for all this is because he is blessed and cannot enjoy it! This is because when he gave alms in his previous life, he could not be sincere and joyful, or he had to give a little bit after heeding the advice of others, or he would regret it immediately after giving alms. The meaning comes from "Bodhisattva Maitreya asks Question to Buddha ". Although he is a humble person who weaves bamboo for doors and burrows walls to make windows, he can often live in other people’s gorgeous buildings. Although he is a person who eats food and eats his hunger, he can often eat the best in the world given by others. Good food. This is that although he can enjoy these blessings, it is not his own blessing. It is because this person has no ability to give in his previous life, but he knows to persuade others to do more good deeds, or it is because he is full of joy and admiration when he sees other people's giving. Buddha's light

One year, on the full moon day in July, King Bashinadi dressed in a gorgeous king costume and came to greet Shakyamuni Buddha.

At that time, Venerable Kanudayi was sitting on the edge of the masses, and he was deep in meditation, with a golden halo showing through his whole body.

Venerable Ananda among the masses found that the sun in the sky was setting and the moon was about to come out. In a moment, the sun and the moon were shining on the horizon at the same time.

But when Venerable Ananda turned to look at the Buddha, he noticed that the light from the Buddha was far more dazzling than other lights.

Ananda immediately exclaimed: "Ah! Buddha, the noble brilliance that blooms from you surpasses all the brilliance of the king, Venerable Kanudayi, the sun and the moon!”

Shakyamuni Buddha replied to Ananda: "Buddhas bloom day and night, and cover five kinds of brilliance (Note)."

Note: Buddha surpassed debauchery with precepts, surpassed evil with good deeds, surpassed ignorance with wisdom, and surpassed depraved virtues with merit, and defeated evil with integrity.

The sun shines brightly during the day and the moon shines at night. The (Kshatriya) warriors shine when they are armed, and the Brahman shines when they meditate, but the Arahan (Buddha) shines day and night.  Dhammapada Verse 387)

Buddha subdued four Brahmin brothers who insulted him

Once upon a time, a Brahmin’s wife in Shavati had already achieved the first stage of consciousness.  Whenever she sneezes, or when something or someone accidentally touches her, she will blurt out some verses.  One day, when the Brahman and several friends were having a meal at home, she said in passing: "Respect the Buddha" but the admiration of the Buddha angered her husband and made him immediately rush out to find the Buddha and interrogate the Buddha.  His first question was: "If you want to live a peaceful life, what should you kill?" The second question is: "If you want to live a happy life, what should you kill?" The Buddha replied, "Brahman! If one want to be peaceful or to live a happy life, one must get rid of anger. Buddhas and Arahants rejoice and praise that people can stop anger." The Buddha's answer touched the heart of this Brahmin, he became a bhikkhu and later attained Arahant consciousness.

This Brahmin’s brother was very angry when he heard the news of his brother’s becoming a monk. He also went directly to the abode to insult the Buddha, but the Buddha asked him: “Brahmin! Suppose you invite your relatives and friends to have a meal at home, but they go back without even touching their mouth.  Since these relatives and friends don't accept your food, to whom does this food belong?" He said it belonged to him.  The Buddha went on to say, “Similarly, since I don’t accept your insults, aren’t what you say are insulting yourself? ” Upon hearing this, he immediately convinced the Buddha’s wise meaning was right.  He aroused great respect to Buddha, so he became a monk, and later, he also attained Arahantship.

Later, the other two brothers of the Brahmin came to insult the Buddha with the same mentality, but they were also influenced by the Buddha and became a monk. They both attained Arahantship when the opportunity was ripe.

One night, many bhikkhus said: “How wonderful and profound the virtues of the Buddha are! These four Brahmin brothers came to insult the Buddha, but the Buddha used incomparable wisdom to help them understand the Dharma and serve as their refuge.” The Buddha said.  "Bhikkhus! I don’t hurt those who hurt me. With my patience and self-control, many people will convert to me." (Note) This is what Buddhists should be when facing false criticism and insults.

People who endure insults and whiplashes without being aversion, and have the endurance of an army, I call them Brahmans.  ------The Scripture of Dharma verse 399

Venerable Sariputta was insulted by his mother

Once, when the Buddha was at the  Kalaṇḍaka Veṇu-vana in the bamboo forest, Sariputta and a group of bhikkhus went to his mother's home in Naroka village to alms.  His mother invited them to come in to accept offerings, but when she brought food to Sariputra, she said, "You who eat leftovers! You abandon all your wealth and become a monk. You ruined us!"

When she went on to give food to other bhikkhus, she also said rudely: "You always treat my son as a waiter, eat now!"

Sariputta said nothing, but kept his usual noble silence.

After returning to the abode, the bhikkhus reported to the Buddha that Sariputta patiently endured the blame of the biological mother.  The Buddha said that Arahan will never get angry and will never lose his temper.

Buddha Shakyamuni said in the "Blessing Sutra": If a person wants to gain benefits, he should cultivate his own blessings.  There are three ways to cultivate blessing: generosity, inner silence (keeping the the precepts) and compassionate practices.

The eighth day of the second month of the lunar calendar is the day when Buddha Shakyamuni became a monk. Becoming a monk is the only way to become a Buddha. The Buddhas of the ten directions have been shown as the way to be a monk first and then become a Buddha. Shizun was born in ancient India more than 3,000 years ago. When he was in the world, he witnessed birth, old age, sickness and death. He abandoned the throne, his wife, and 60,000 maids in the harem, as well as all kinds of pleasures. He left the royal city in the middle of the night to become a monk. After six years of asceticism, he achieved supreme consciousness.

It is recorded in the "Fang Guang Kuan Majesty Sutra": When the prince went out of the north gate, he encountered a monk transformed by the heavens, so he got out of the carriage and saluted the monk and asked the monk about the benefits of being a monk. The bhikkhu replied: "I see that the life at home is old, sick, dead, and impermanent, and all are corrupt and uneasy. Therefore, leaving the relatives and being idle, seeking convenience, can relieve the above suffering. And adjust and subdue various desires, develop great compassion, give to others fearlessly, practice equality and care for all beings, not be contaminated by the desires of the world, and be liberated forever. This is the method of renunciation.” The prince was delighted after hearing this. , Praised: "Goodness! Only this is the noblest way among heaven and man. I should decide to learn this way."
