Biko who was beaten by mistake
A bhikkhu went to the forest to meditate with the subject of observing his own mind. After attaining Arahantship, he planned to return to the Abode to express his deep gratitude to the Buddha. On the road, when passing a village, a woman happened to quarrel with her husband, and ran out of the house, just behind Bikku. At this time, the husband who was chasing her found her right behind Bikku. Her husband mistakenly thought that Bikku was going to take her away, so he shouted and threatened to beat him. The woman begged her husband not to beat Biku, but this made her husband even more angry and immediately beat Biku. After the fight, the woman was taken away. Afterwards, this biku continued to the Abode.
When he arrived at Jidalin and the Solitude Garden, the other bhikkhus saw that he was bruised all over, so they treated him and asked him if he had any hatred towards the person who beat him. He said no. These bhikkhus reported to the Buddha: "Master! The bhikkhu said that he no longer has hatred. Is this true?"
The Buddha replied to them, "Bhikkhus! Arahan rejects violence. Even if they are beaten, they will not be angry." The Buddha confirmed that the bhikkhu is indeed Arahan.
Those who do not use force to treat all strong and weak beings, do not harm others, and do not kill, I call them Brahmans. ------Dhammapada verse 405
On the 19th of the second month of the lunar calendar, is Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva birthday. Even in the future, may my journey go through many kalpas, follow the cycle of life and death, and save countless beings.
Illness is created by the mind, and one could become sick one night and being healed one night. For example, in the early morning of April 1, 2021, the illness that had tortured me for several days which was not able to swallow was healed in one night. From this, I feel more that life is impermanent, and I am more grateful to Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva for helping me understand the meaning of life and helping me to escape from the suffering of both mind and body. Through this incident, I strengthened my belief in learning Buddhism. Amitabha.
A student of Dharma from Malaysia planted a vegetable garden in Kuching. In the first year, 95% of the vegetables he planted were eaten by insects because he decided not to kill and he did not use pesticides or fertilizers. He thought It's good for the worms to eat. He planted again in the second year. This time the insects were polite, they left about half of the vegetables and ate half of the vegetables. When I visited there, it was about the fifth or sixth year of the garden. When I visited, they told me that, at that time, the food eaten by bugs is 5%, and the remaining 95% is reserved for people. It’s so rare! But it’s true because if you don't kill them, they won't kill you.
I immigrated to Australia in 2000. There were few people in Australia and the land was very cheap at that time. I lived in the countryside and drove 15 minutes way from the city. I also bought two plots of land next to me. Therefore, the yard is very large, 28 acres in total, one acre is six Chinese acres, and there are almost 170 Chinese acres, so we will open up a vegetable garden. When we were planting vegetables this time, we discussed with worms. We set a zone and told the worms, "This zone is dedicated to supporting you." For this special area, we also worked very hard in the process of planting. The worms are really obedient, they eat only the vegetables in this area, and they do not touch the vegetables on the other side of the ridge, so we gets along very well. Our vegetable garden is equipped with chanting machines, so the vegetables are grown listening to the name of Amitabha Buddha, and the vegetables grow very well. The vegetable farmers came to visit us and they all admire it. The vegetable farmers asked us, "How did you grow it? How did you grow it so well? No pesticides, no fertilizers." In addition to vegetables, we also plant fruit trees. The yard is very large and we have planted more than 30 fruit trees. A treaty was also made with the birds, specifying a few trees, and the fruit on those trees can be eaten by the birds. And we told the birds:” if a tree is not specified, please do not move.”
We get along with worms and birds very well. In the end, the birds and insects, even mosquitoes, ants, and flies are obedient. We live in harmony with them, coexist and prosper, and do not harm each other. If we look at this progress for the last ten years, it is not accidental. After such a long time, we will do this everywhere in the future. In 2005, 2006, 2007, and 2008, we opened a small farm in Tangchi Town with 30 acres of land to grow vegetables and fruits. Our approach went even further. All the treaties we made for the bugs were written out and inserted in that place with a small sign. why? Many people visited, so that everyone could see the agreement we signed with worms and birds.
Why do we need to hurt the earth? Pesticides poison pests and bringing diseases, and you have to know that it also poisons the soil. The poisonous soil will carry toxins no matter what you plant in the future. So, if you harm those bugs, you also harm yourself. Science requires experimentation. The experiments we have done in the past ten years have proved it, and it has been proved by facts. Therefore, harming others is harming yourself. You harm those pests and little birds, you harm the soil, and in the end, you harm yourself. If you love these little worms and these little birds, you are caring for yourself. We love them and they love us. Even plants are sensitive, the flowers bloom very fragrantly, and the fruits grow very sweet. Why do we need to do those damaging things? Human beings, all sentient beings, and even plants have an induction. Now, we know that not only plants, mountains, rivers, earth, and minerals all have interactions with each other. They are all alive, and they are not dead things.
The person who said the above passage is Master Jingkong. He immigrated to Australia in 2000 and bought a large plot of land to grow vegetables.
The 21st day of February in the lunar calendar is Samantabhadra's birthday. Samantabhadra Bodhisattva is a symbol of "practice" in Buddhism, representing the practice of bodhisattva's path. Taking Samantabhadra’s practices and Manjushri's wisdom together is to combine practice and theory, so that it can be perfect enlightenment.
Humans and creatures in this world are all busy getting things, and they are all rushing to death in order to get things and emotions. Therefore, Buddhism talks about giving up and giving, and talks about selflessness. What Buddhism advocates is completely different from this world, and really transcends this world. So I think Buddha is very great, able to see so clearly, and able to do it personally.
People in this world should establish righteousness, speak righteous words, and act righteously with the right body. A well-informed person, in his short life, makes good deeds. This wise person, in this world, when his body is finally destroyed and his life ends, he will be born into the heaven. -"Right View Sutra “
When people are in good times, we should think that my family is rich and abundance, which must be derived from the practice of generosity in my previous life. In this life, it should be more beneficial to people and things. I am healthy and disease-free today. I must have been compassionate in my previous life. In this life, I should quit killing and letting go. For example, when the lights are still bright, you should add kerosene.
If you encounter adversity, you should think: "I am suffering today because of my sins in my previous life. If I can accept it, my karma debt will be repaid. Not only that, if I live in poverty, I always wish that everyone in the world would be rich; The body is sick, and I always wish everyone in the world to be healthy;
When I encounter someone fighting, I always wish that everyone in the world is in harmony; if I am stupid and ignorant, I always wish that everyone in the world is wise; if I do not have the six roots, I always wish that all people in the world have good looks and good looks. "
Whenever one encounters a kind of tribulation, he vows to save people in this kind of tribulation in the future life. If you can be so deliberate, isn't it right now that your troubles turn into Bodhi and the poison turns into nectar? The opposite is true for those who do not know how to plant blessings.
