Anyone who is very greedy for joy in the world will definitely experience the cycle of birth, old age, sickness and death again.
Just like the person in the dream, when the dream wakes up, everything is nothing.
Impermanence:
All dharmas are impermanent. If you can observe in this way with wisdom, you will be able to get away from all sufferings. This is the pure path. ("Dhammapada" Verses 277)
A group of bhikkhus went to the woods to meditate according to the meditation guidance given by the Buddha, but their progress was slow. They went back to see the Buddha and asked the Buddha to give them guidance on meditation that was more suitable for them. The Buddha then learned through his supernatural powers that these bhikkhus had practised the view of impermanence when they were living in the time of Kasaba Buddha. Therefore, the Buddha warned them: "Bhikkhu, all dependent arising dharma is impermanence."
Remarks: All things that are in harmony with cause, whether animate or inanimate, obey the eternal law of impermanence, suffering, and non-self. No supernatural deity can change or stop this eternal law. All the problems and sufferings of sentient beings are rooted in our clinging to momentary feelings, and the uncertainty of things. The conflict between our greed and impermanence causes mental or physical pain. Those who understand and observe this eternal law can gain inner peace and satisfaction.
Bhikkhu should understand that if you drain out the water in the boat, then the boat can move quickly. If you can get rid of greed and anger, then you can reach Nirvana. -"Dhammapada”
Samatha, which means "to stop", is extended to "stillness", is to gather the heart and mind together, concentrate and single mind, stop all external behaviors and internal mental emotions and thoughts, and extinguish all scattered troubles. Stop discriminating the mind from all aspects, and achieve peace of mind and body, so as to enter the state of concentration and initiate wisdom.
Vipassanā, which means "viewing", cultivates continuous and stable awareness from the four aspects of "body", "feeling", "mind" and "dhamma" in actual experience (not belief, feeling, and imagination) , that “self” is nothing more than a phenomenon composed of five elements and its common characteristics are rapid and continuous change (impermanence), a state of dissatisfaction (suffering), and all existing things are characterized by the lack of a self (non-self) .
In the practice system of Buddhism, Vipassana belongs to "wisdom" , which is one of Threefold Training. The other two of Threefold Training are Vinaya (the principle of moral life) and Samadhi (the cultivation of concentration). Wisdom transliteration is Prajna, which means a correct understanding of reality. In fact, each stage of the practice of "viewing" is to take deeper wisdom as a milestone. Deeper wisdom can eliminate more subtle troubles. In this sense, Buddhist practice can be regarded as a process of self-purification, and its ultimate goal is complete purification, free from all pain and sensory bondage, which is the so-called Nirvana.
Master Yuanying said in the article "The Only Way to Save People's Hearts": "Buddhism focuses on entering the world, not racing to leave the world. The scripture says:'If I don't go to hell, then who goes to hell." Please try to understand this sentence. In other words, as long as it is something that is beneficial to all living beings, even if it is a hot pot and hot coal, I will not avoid it. Only when you have all the merits of the world, can you really leave the world. “
